The Best Family Friendly Beaches in Kauai, Hawaii
Kauai has diverse beaches with views, calm waters and some of the greatest spots for food. This place is perfect for families and kids of all ages. These are some of the best beaches to visit during your stay in Kauai, Hawaii.
Lae Lani Beach
We stayed at the Kauai Shores Hotel and not only was this the perfect location, but there is a beach right behind the hotel which is walking distance and had the best sunset view. Lae Lani Beach is family friendly, and because it’s near the hotel it was never crowded so you could spend the whole day relaxing, grabbing a bite to eat, and enjoying the views.
Anini Beach
My absolute favorite beach during our trip to Hawaii, Anini Beach is not only family-friendly but the waters are so calm and beautiful. It is the perfect beach for snorkeling and swimming with extremely calm waters and it’s a bit hidden so doesn’t get too crowded. You might even get lucky while snorkeling and see a few turtles swimming around.
Hanalei Bay and Pier
One of the most popular areas, Hanalei Bay is a great location for families but can get extremely crowded as it’s a go-to spot. The views here are so beautiful, though, it’s worth spending the day here with options to grab a bite to eat, swim in the calm waves, and the views of the mountains. I recommend arriving as early as possible here to get a spot and stay until sunset to enjoy the views.
Poipu Beach
If you’re looking to see more marine life, Poipu Beach is perfect for this and snorkeling. This beach had some of the most aquatic life with seals and turtles. My husband even saw some turtles and snakes while snorkeling but again this is an extremely popular spot so get here early and grab a spot away from the harsh sun and enjoy your day here. Be sure to keep your distance from any turtles and seals you see and respect the signs that tell you where to watch them from a comfortable distance.
